Default Grandmaster Cartographer! Is it worth it???

Couple a weeks ago i have finished vanquishing Elona and while I was vanquishing I tought to myself "Why not to cartograph areas while I am at it???" and so I did and got my 100% exploration of Elona.
Recently I started vvanquishing Tyria and Cantha, so once again I tought "why not to do the same thing I did with Elona and cartograph the areas while I am there?", and then after the first few areas I remembered why, because it's such pain in the ass.
I mean I spend hours "wall-huging" to get a title that only proves that I'm a complete moron that spend hours staring at the wall under 45 degrees angle while pressing foward button.
If you want a title that proves you are persistent and not easily discouraged you can vanquish areas, if you want a title that proves your dedication to the game you can get Hero or Galadiator title for PvP and Skill Hunter or Treasure Hunter for PvE, and if you want to prove you are moron who has nothing else better to do you have Drunkard and Gamer.
So is the Grandmaster Cartographer title really worth spending hours staring at the wall???

It's just the same as any other title. All for show. Hey look at me! See that, ya, I spent tons of time doing something.

Im going for Cartographer and the finish all missions/bonus for each campaign. Why? Cause I want too, no other reason really. If you don't want to dont bother.

In most games I am a natural explorer. In WoW i spent most of my time wandering and just looking at things, trying to climb everything and find secret areas.

same thing here, so cartographer fits

Default I do it for fun and hall of monuments.

None of it is worth it if you start asking question like this. its a game and if its worth your time playing, then the title is worth your time gaining. otherwise why do you play the game other then for fun, and getting the title just add more fun to the game!

and yes its a pain in the ass. but its still part of playing the game.

IMHO

If you had fun doing it, and you're proud of yourself, it was worth it. If you only did it because you felt you had to enhance your e-peen and hated every second of it, well, you should probably get a job or something.

If you do vanquisher, you might as well do cartographer...

Other than that, it's just for your maxed titles track mainly and to show off with titles.

Hahahaha QFT.

I am going for cartographer title also , cos basically it 's going to keep me occupied whilst waiting for GWEN, as i have pretty much completed everything else i wanted to do in game.

Don't do it if you think it's gonna be such a pain in the ass for you. Video games were meant to have fun with, not to burden yourself with it.

Well, I got the cartographer titles in all 3 for one reason: I want "I have many leather bound books"

that title rocks. gg

You misunderstood me, I LOVE exploring, both it is in real life and in a game, that's the main reason i started playing RPG in the first place, but here I'm not talking about exploring I'm talking about "wall hugging".
Exploring is nice but to get the max title you have to spend hours wall hugging which is very exhausting especially is you have just spend 1-2 hours killing all the foes in the area.

Titles are really worthless to everybody except yourself. Noone really cares that you have a title. And they dont really affect the game entirely that it would be worth it to grind for it, Thank God. I think the new skills for pve are worth it though because they do allow you to experience the game in a different way with new skills. Other than that I wouldnt waste my time going for titles that mean nothing and wont benefit you tremendously. I think getting kind of a big deal is sufficient enough to get your name on the stone amongst the other million players that have it =P. If in guildwars2 they start naming parts of regions and streets after you then maybe it may be worth it.

If you want it next to your name then get it.

It depends on how much you want it next to your name, nobody else cares.

Closed.
